THE 5TH ANNUAL CROSS-SECTOR CONFERENCE
Impact Beyond Boundaries
ONLINE EVENT
26 & 27 | Aug 2021 |
With the theme “Impact Beyond Boundaries”; the 5th conference organized by LIN Center aims to promote partnerships and cooperation between businesses, NGOs, NPOs, government, and individuals that are working tirelessly towards sustainable development in Vietnam.
Through workshops, panel discussions and inspiring keynote speeches, representatives from the business and nonprofit sectors in Vietnam will share their lessons learned, skills, and insights on how they developed cross-sector partnerships for doing social impact and community development, thus promoting trust-based partnership models inspired by real-life partnership stories.
The Conference’s theme “Impact Beyond Boundaries” will focus on three key stages of the journey of a trust-based partnership:
VISION
Partnership starts with inspiring leaders and purpose
From the beginning of the journey to sustainable partnership and impact, it is essential that parties agree and commit to a common vision. In the first section of the conference, we will hear from inspiring leaders in nonprofit and corporate sectors. By providing a shared purpose, direction, and inspiration, these visionary leaders will share how they supported their teams to move beyond self-interest, set a constructive tone and mindset for partnership, and lay out clear goals ahead of cooperation.
In the first part of our conference, we will hear from
– Inspiring leaders drive partnership and impact
– Panel Discussion: Setting vision and mindset
ENGAGEMENT
Skills trainings to build trust-based partnerships
Once a vision is in place, partners can start working on community engagement and take steps towards transformational results. In this section of the conference, we will hear a keynote from a seasoned diplomat and partnership broker, and invite participants to participate in one of three workshops on different aspects of project engagement. These workshops will be offered in parallel to support skills building towards successful engagement in cross-sector partnership.
Engagement skills workshops running in parallel
–Option 1: The Art of Collaboration – Managing Expectations and Roles and Responsibilities
-Option 2: Utilizing networks as a positive force for change
-Option 3: Creative Communications and Public Advocacy
IMPACT & LEARNING
In 2020, vulnerable communities faced extreme challenges due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and severe climate events (storms and drought). In the final section of the conference, we will hear from a keynote speaker and panel of experts who will share stories of partnership forged in crises. They will reflect on their work in the last year and how partners were able to contribute solutions, develop, and learn together to address crises in the short-term and look ahead to building partnerships for long-term resilience and disaster mitigation.
